Join Us for the Similkameen 5K Run/Walk!
Celebrate the arrival of spring in Keremeos with a healthy and fun-filled event for the whole community. Lace up your sneakers and hit the scenic VVE trail on April 21st for our inaugural Similkameen 5K Run/Walk.
Event Details:
Date: April 21st
Time: 10 AM
Location: VVE Trail, Keremeos. Starting point is Memorial Park!
Distance: Run/Walk 5K! Shorter distances for teens, kids and toddlers.
What to Expect:
Enjoy a refreshing run or leisurely walk along the picturesque VVE Trail, embracing the beauty of spring in our downtown area.
Connect with fellow participants and supporters as we come together for a healthy celebration of community spirit. This section of the VVE Trail is a flat, mixed trail.
The race is self-timed, all fitness levels are welcome. The Similkameen Rec Team offers a run club to prepare for the race.
Embrace the opportunity to support a worthy cause: all proceeds from the entry fees go towards the Similkameen Star Fish Pack Program, helping to feed local children in need. If we collect $900 in donations, AC Motor Electric will match and sponsor a second child!
Presented by the team from Similkameen Recreation, the Similkameen Trails Society, and Similkameen Country Development Association. The event is partially funded by the Neighbourhood Small Grants Program through Community Foundation. Thank you for your support!
