Owner Larry Kwak remains humble in discussing this recent award. Forty Years of Experience

Larry followed in his father's footsteps, and now Larry's son is doing the same. "My son Ryan is our top arborist on the crew and General Foreman overall. Our customers like how we have family members involved; they like that we are heavily invested in the success of every job." Like Larry, Ryan worked his way up the ladder to get to his position, and is the third-generation arborist in the family.

Family Run, and It Shows

"Our reputation for reliable, efficient service is well known throughout the Kamloops area," Larry says. Climbing to the top of their industry has been a concerted family effort, something Larry is very proud of. Operations manager Angela, Bookkeeper Shalene, and Larry’s wife and business partner Corrina Kwak help the company grow every day. Larry's daughter Megan is the company dispatcher and Larry’s right-hand person, he tells me, outlining the tremendous job she does for them. Megan has her work cut out for her, too; the service area for Pine Valley Tree Services extends anywhere within two hours of Kamloops. "We will go even further, too," Larry says; with the caveat that mileage expenses may come into play for longer-distance projects.
