BC trans activist and 'prolific litigant' loses another court case
This is the same person that raged when a woman's only salon refused to wax his scrotum because the salon only waxes woman. They are a menace and an abuser of the system. — Cory Leggio, via iNFOnews.ca
Kelowna pastor, Harvest Church deny sexual abuse lawsuits, threaten to sue for defamation
I don't think repeating an allegation counts as defamation, as long as you make clear that it's an allegation. Art's lawyer's response really reads as, "Stop talking about it, or else". — Kimberley Susanne White, via iNFOnews.ca
BC nurse who took nude photo at work loses case after being suspended
There is no way this meets the test of indecent exhibition in a public place. The worker had done everything possible to prevent public access/observation. The training these tribunal members get seems to be highly suspect. If the tribunal member had actually read the annotations to this section of the criminal code it would have been immediately obvious that the conduct did not meet that threshold. — William Mastop, via iNFOnews.ca
Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre loses his long-held seat in Ottawa
If ever a leader got a mandate Pierre sure did. Lost his seat after 20 years in it. His party went from sure win to lose. Yep, he has a mandate from voters. That mandate is have the courage to step down and resign. — William Mastop, via iNFOnews.ca
iN NUMBERS: Big voter turnout in Kamloops, Okanagan
Interesting that at a time when we are threatened by the U.S. still more than 30% of Canadians will not bother to vote. So sad. A stain on our country. — Robert Bishop, via iNFOnews.ca
Liberal Stephen Fuhr wins Kelowna, at least for now
Great news! Interior BC politics is usually so monolithic it's boring to watch. Nice to see a spot of red in the more educated areas of the province. — Gregory Nixon, via iNFOnews.ca
Conservative Scott Anderson wins Vernon-Lake Country-Monashee
So looking forward to being represented by a man that describes himself as a knuckle dragging Neanderthal. — Bonnie Derry, via iNFOnews.ca
Murder victim's last movements highlight second week of Kamloops trial
The reasons for having a trial heard in one city and then another are not particularly interesting. Generally this would be done to facilitate witnesses attendance or lawyer attendance. In high security cases a trial will sometimes be set in Vancouver to allow use of the high security courtroom but that is not a live issue in this case. — William Mastop, via iNFOnews.ca
iN VIDEO: A look inside West Kelowna’s iconic Gorman Bros. Lumber mill
They truly do make a superior product. I used much of their product for trimming the log home we built. — Brian Buchanan, via iNFOnews.ca
