OPINION

UPDATE: July 15, 2016

Dear Byron Louis and Council,

I would like to retract the statement I made below on iNFOnews.ca on June 23. I claimed you were paid for meetings you did not attend and this is untrue.

The statement was not made with any malicious intent to lie or defame the character of the Chief and Council of the Okanagan Indian Band. The error was the unfortunate result of not having complete information at the time of publication. I completely retract the false information and apologize for the mistake.

I look forward to working collaboratively with the Okanagan Band Chief and Council and Administration to ensure, moving forward, complete information is available for member inspection.

Sincerely,

Joseph Jack
OKIB Member
