KELOWNA – Three members of the influential east coast rap group the Wu-Tang Clan are coming to Kelowna this month.

Ghostface Killah, GZA and Capadonna are members of the group Rolling Stone called “the best rap group ever.” They burst onto the scene in 1993 and have since released six albums to critical acclaim. They have also helped launch the careers of artists like Nas, Redman, Kanye West, Mobb Deep and Busta Rhymes.

Ghostface Killah’s debut solo album, Ironman sold 156,000 copies in its first week and has since earned platinum status. GZA, also known as The Genius, released his critically acclaimed solo album Liquid Swords in 1995 and has been called one of the best lyricists of the 1990’s. Capadonna, whose name is an acronym for “Consider All Poor People Acceptable Don’t Oppress Nor Neglect Anyone” made his first appearance with Wu-Tang on their 1997 album Wu-Tang Forever.

They will be joined by Killah Priest for a one night show at Sapphire Night Club, Sunday, March 22. Early bird tickets have already sold out but tickets are still available at ONE Boardshop, Hemp City Kelowna, The Bakery Boardshop, Lounge Collective Apparel or online.

The show, which is sponsored by JayWho Productions of Kelowna, B.C., will open with local talent Kyle Nonstop Keebaugh and DJ ShAdo.
