Wrestler Lawler says he had no warning before suffering mild heart attack

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Professional wrestler and commentator Jerry (The King) Lawler says he had no warning before collapsing with a mild heart attack while announcing a World Wrestling Entertainment event in Montreal last week.

Lawler says he doesn't remember taking part in a tag team match Sept. 10 or moving ringside to work as a commentator that night.

Lawler was taken afterward to a Montreal hospital, where he stayed for a week before returning to Memphis. He says he has been seen by a cardiologist in Memphis and undergone tests. He showed reporters a 24-hour heart monitor he was wearing at his home Wednesday afternoon during the news conference, which was streamed live on WMC-TV.

Lawler says the week before he suffered the heart attack, he felt "discomfort" for a few minutes in his chest.
