Penticton is the home for the 2013 WFC Continental Cup curling championships in January.

The event runs from Jan. 10 - 13 at the South Okanagan Events Centre located at 853 Eckhardt Ave. west and will be covered by TSN as well as the World Curling Federation website.

Two canadian stars competing in the event are Jennifer Jones of Winnipeg and Kevin Martin of Edmonton.

The Continental Cup is held annually with teams from North America competing against teams from around the world. Each has six members, three men and three women and there are four main competitions during the four day event: mixed doubles, singles, teams and skins. Points are awarded for the outcome of each match with a total of 400 on the line. The first team to reach 201 points is declared the winner.
