KAMLOOPS - The Kamloops airport saw a bump in traveller numbers last month thanks to the IIHF Women’s World Hockey Championship.
A report released by Fred Legace, manager of the Kamloops airport, shows the March traveller numbers were up 4.2 per cent from the same month last year.
In March 2015, 28,568 travellers passed through the airport, compared to 29,827 last month.
Legace notes in his report the boost in March traffic contributed to the year-to-date numbers.
So far this year, 92,150 travellers have come through the airport, up 7.9 per cent from last year’s 84,884.
