A woman cycling with a friend on the Myra Canyon rail trail near Kelowna fell hard from her bike yesterday and needed help from search and rescue volunteers.

The older woman hit a diagonal culvert across the trail, lost control of her bike and landed hard just after noon yesterday, June 8, according to a Central Okanagan Search and Rescue media release.

The woman was in shock and not mobile, so search and rescue responded with eight members including the e-bike team.
