Kamloops residents may want to take a trip to the Okanagan this weekend if they are looking for sunshine.
Environment Canada is calling for sunshine on both Saturday, June 11, and Sunday, with highs of 25 Celsius on Saturday and 23 C on Sunday in the Okanagan.
The Kamloops forecast, in contrast, calls for a 30% chance of showers on Saturday with a mix of sun and cloud both days.
The high temperatures are expected to be about the same as in the Okanagan, reaching 25 C on Saturday and 24 C on Sunday.
Normal highs for this time of year are around 24 C.

Before the weekend, there’s a 30% chance of showers in the Okanagan today and tomorrow.
Kamloops residents can expect a few showers today and a mix of sun and cloud on Friday.
The sunny days are not expected to last, with rain in the forecast for both regions on Monday.
