PENTICTON - RCMP are investigating a second motor vehicle fatality in as many days in the Penticton area.

RCMP spokesperson Const. James Grandy said in a press release police and members of the Kaleden Fire Department responded to a report of a single vehicle rollover on Marron Valley Road yesterday evening, Nov. 19, around 9 p.m.

Emergency personnel found a female passenger deceased upon their arrival. The male driver was found outside the vehicle and was taken to hospital, with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

The B.C. Coroners Service and an RCMP traffic analyst are continuing their investigation into the collision.

“At this time investigators are considering the possibility of alcohol being a causal factor, however no one has yet to charged as the investigation continues,” Grandy said in the release.

Penticton RCMP and the B.C. Coroners Service are also investigating the death of a pickup truck driver after his vehicle left Carmi Road and ended up in the Superior Peat yard sometime overnight Sunday, Nov. 18.
