PENTICTON - A woman was rushed to hospital following a single vehicle collision south of Penticton last night.

Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says a 23-year-old man driving a Jeep fell asleep and struck a post while returning from last night’s Buckcherry concert at the South Okanagan Events Centre.

The incident took place just after midnight, Nov. 4, on Highway 97 south of the Penticton airport.

A 19-year-old woman was trapped in the vehicle until rescued by emergency personnel. She was transported to Penticton Regional Hospital with hip and ankle injuries.
