“Both teams were a little timid in the first. They pulled it out. We fought back in the second. We came out really strong in the third. We served well and Brandon made a lot of mistakes. I really liked our pushback in the fifth set. We got out to a big lead. This time we were able to focus a lot more and enjoy the moment and live in the moment rather than scoreboard watch. It was nice to see our group learn from what happened against Alberta and display that the following weekend right away. Overall a great effort by the team. Abby did a great job distributing the ball and was one of the main reasons why we had such a high percentage as a team,” TRU head coach Chad Grimm says.
UP NEXT:
Both teams will go at it again on Saturday (Nov 5, 2016) in Brandon. Game time is 5 pm CST. Webcast on Canada West TV.
Next weekend (Nov 11-12) the WolfPack will kick off a four match homestand on the Warner Rentals Court at the Tournament Capital Centre as they entertain the Mount Royal University Cougars. The following weekend (Nov 18-19), the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds will be paying a visit to Kamloops.
Brandon has a bye week next week.
