The only thing better than helping an animal in need, is helping an animal in need and winning up to $300,000.

That could be a reality for one lucky winner of the B.C. SPCA's 50/50 lottery, but you need to act fast.

The SPCA’s annual spring lottery sold out well before the ticket sales deadline earlier this year, and because this lottery is the biggest yet, it's possible tickets will go just as fast, according to a B.C. SPCA media release.

“The pot can grow as big as $600,000 and we expect tickets to go quickly again," SPCA spokesperson Tess Repenning said in the release. "The best part is when you purchase a ticket, the animals win every time.”

All funds generated by the lottery will go towards providing rescue, shelter and medical care for animals in need.

Tickets start at $15 each, three for $40, and six for $60.

Ticket purchasers must be over 19 years of age, and the deadline is October 15, 2020.
