SUN PEAKS - Kamloops Rural RCMP are investigating after a break-in and theft at the Village Day Lodge in Sun Peaks.

Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says in a news release that the break-in occurred at roughly 3 a.m. today, Sept. 25. The glass door to the lodge was smashed and police believe the ATM was ripped out by a rope attached to a vehicle.

The machine was later located at the junction of Agate Bay Road and Adams Lake Forest Service Road. Shelkie says it had been broken into and the cash inside was missing.

The suspect or suspects involved may have been in a black Ford F-350 pick-up truck with silver trim and a lift kit.

Anyone with information is asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1 800-222-8477.
