Two wildfires north and south of Oliver have resulted in an evacuation notice from the regional district tonight, August 14.

PENTICTON - Two wildfires are burning out of control north and south of Oliver this evening, Friday, August 14.
The Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen issued an evacuation order tonight for 200 homes in the Wilson Mountain area north of Oliver and in the Testalinden Creek area south of Oliver.
Emergency Social Services has been activated and working out of the Oliver Community Centre at 6359 Park Drive in Oliver. Residents are requested to check in when they arrive. Phone registrations can be done by calling 250-498-4985.
The evacuation order applies to properties north of Rockcliffe Road to Patten Road and Wilson Mountain Road, west of Highway 97.
