Special Air Quality Statements that have been issued for Kamloops over the past few days have been expanded to include the Shuswap and North Okanagan.
A map of the affected areas shows the smoke approaching the Central Okanagan but it seems to miss the South Okanagan.

The Air Quality Health Index shows a Level 3, or low, risk throughout Kamloops and the Okanagan.
It’s forecast to continue at that level in the Okanagan but rise to Level 4, or moderate risk, in Kamloops today, out of a scale of 10.
While not included in the air quality statement, individual Environment Canada weather forecasts for Central and Southern Okanagan communities indicate local smoke may be experienced throughout the Valley.
