In this week's episode of Wild Wednesday, WildSafeBC wants you to know about some of the traits of the red squirrel.

Although some animals hibernate throughout the winter, squirrels do not according to WildSafeBC.

But they can sleep a lot when the weather gets really cold. They also stock up on fir and spruce cones to help them make it through the winter season.

Other small creatures you'll catch a glimpse of in the below video include the Yellow-Pine chipmunk and the Dark-eyed Junco.
