Canadian Cancer Society
Gift Wrapping Volunteers – This December the local Kamloops Unit of the Canadian Cancer Society will be providing Gift Wrap by Donation at Aberdeen Mall for the entire month. As you can imagine, it takes hundreds of volunteers to make this program successful. We need your help! Donations of time are just as valuable as donations of money, and we would be so grateful for a gift of your time for a four-hour shift. 16+ to volunteer, and family volunteering friendly. Out of the Cold Program
Out of the Cold Volunteers - The Out of the Cold Program is looking for volunteers on Wednesdays & Sundays from Nov. 01, 2015 to Mar. 31, 2016. This program provides warm meals and shelter for the homeless men & women of Kamloops. Operation Red Nose
ORN Volunteers - Operation Red Nose is a designated driving service where volunteers drive clients and their vehicles home during the holidays. Volunteer positions include: drivers (21+ to volunteer), escort drivers, navigators (19+ to volunteer); office volunteers: dispatch, phone operators, greeters (16+ to volunteer). Wildlife Park
Family Farm Assistants - The Wildlife Park is in need of volunteers to assist our zookeepers in maintaining a safe environment at our Home Hardware Family Farm for their 18th Annual Wildlights Festival from Dec. 11, 2015 to Jan. 03, 2016. The volunteers will be interacting with park guests as they interact with our goats! Volunteers will also be keeping the barn area clean. Door-to-Door Campaign Leaders - The Canadian Cancer Society is currently seeking highly motivated, and enthusiastic Leaders to engage and coordinate canvassers during the Daffodil Month Residential Door-to-Door Campaign in April. The Leaders will assist in recruiting canvassers within their community, help maintain team enthusiasm throughout the campaign, and ensure canvassers have all the tools they need to conduct the campaign. Prior to the campaign, Leaders receive materials from the Regional Office and distribute kits to canvassers. Therapeutic Riding Association
Riding Program Support Volunteers - The volunteers will help with preparing horses for lessons, and interact with students who have physical and/or mental disabilities. In lesson volunteers - side walkers, and horse leaders. Other volunteer opportunities include office work, special events, facility maintenance/yard work parties, and barn work. 14+ to volunteer, and all training is provided. Recreation Volunteer - The Hamlets provides assisted living and complex care services for seniors and young adults with acquired brain injuries. Thrift Store Volunteers - Volunteers are needed for sorting, pricing, setting up displays, hanging clothes, organizing clothing racks, greeting customers and helping with their purchases. Schedules are set up in a way that works best for the volunteer and the agency. 16+ to volunteer. 250-376-1110

Canadian Mental Health Association - Kamloops
Donation Pick-up Volunteers - The volunteers will be transporting donations to the Clubhouse approximately twice a month. Duties: loading, unloading and transporting donations. The volunteer drivers must have a truck and valid BC driver’s license, and a flexible schedule is required. Mileage is paid at 0.52 cents/km. 19+ to volunteer. 250-374-0440 Ext: 107
