The smile on this West Kelowna resident’s face says it all.

Jennifer Cole won a $31-million jackpot from the July 8 Lotto Max draw, according to a media release by the B.C. Lottery Corporation.

It's the largest lottery prize ever awarded from a ticket purchased on PlayNow.com.

“I heard that the jackpot was won on PlayNow.com so I logged onto my account,” Cole said in the release. “When I saw the number in my account, it was a lot more than expected.”

Cole first told her family about the life-changing win.

“My family initially thought it was a smaller amount, but once they woke up, I told them I won the jackpot,” she said. “They were very excited.”

Cole is looking forward to retiring and spending more time with family.

“I plan on taking some time to decide what’s next but am definitely looking forward to traveling.”

Cole claimed her $31-million jackpot on Aug. 12.
