WEST KELOWNA - West Kelowna council will allow a developer to consider the Olalla Road fire hall property in a comprehensive development plan but won’t commit yet to selling the property.

Council agreed an an in-camera meeting to allow TC Development Group to draw up plans for a multi-residential development that would include the property the company already owns beside the fire hall.

Council says it wants more time to consider the future of the property before committing to sell the land. Staff have recommended #32 fire hall be decommissioned and rebuilt either on-site or at another location.

The development zone proposal will be considered at a future council meeting and will require a public hearing before adoption.
