Public assistance is being sought in the recovery of several U-Haul vehicles stolen from a West Kelowna lot on Dec. 31, 2017.

WEST KELOWNA - West Kelowna RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in tracking down a number of stolen U-Haul vehicles.
Police are investigating the theft of as many as five U-Haul vehicles, stolen from a West Kelowna rental facility, first reported stolen on Dec.31.
Police were notified around 3 p.m. of the theft of a single Ford F250 U-Haul van, believed taken sometime overnight from the outside parking lot.
Staff then discovered a key return drop box had been vandalized and keys from as many as five rental units had been taken and staff confirmed the associated vehicles were also missing from the lot.
Police spokesperson Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey reported today, Jan. 2, 2018, RCMP have since located one of the stolen rental vehicles in the area of Harvey Avenue and Chandler Street in Kelowna. No one was with the vehicle, which was undamaged.
