WEST KELOWNA – A local woman has been reunited with lost treasures and irreplaceable sentimental gifts.
RCMP officials in West Kelowna were able to return various stolen items, antiques and sentimental jewellery which had been stolen during a break and enter back in Sept. 2017.
On Dec. 12, the resident met with RCMP investigators, at their request, to view a sizeable amount of stolen property that was seized by police a few days prior, according to a RCMP press release.
The woman reclaimed more than 50 items taken from her more than three months prior. These items included jewelry that had belonged to her grandmother, as well as a jewellery box.
“The most valuable item she recovered that day, ended up being a crumpled up piece of paper which read… ‘I love you mom. You are cool. My best friend is you. You are fun.’…” said Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey.
