A man is facing potential charges after breaking into a West Kelowna home.

West Kelowna RCMP was called April 28 just after midnight, to a residence in the 2800-block of Lower Glenrosa Road in West Kelowna.

"Residents of the house, who were home at the time, heard a voice and discovered an unknown man inside the house," Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy said, in a press release. "The man left the residence when confronted but was located by police a short distance away and arrested."

No one was injured in this incident, though the residents of the home were on social media in the immediate aftermath discussing how frightening it was to find an intruder in their home.

The 34-year-old West Kelowna man faces potential criminal charges. He has since been released on numerous strict conditions, with a future court date. The matter will been referred to BC Prosecution Services for charge assessment.
