A West Kelowna Mountie who tried to stop for a coffee realized work just never stops when she saw the vehicle in front of her was reported stolen.
She was in the drive-thru line at 2:30 a.m. March 1. When she ran a check on the vehicle in front of her, it came back stolen from Edmonton two days earlier.
According to a release by Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy, she quickly got backup when other officers surrounded the vehicle and took the driver into custody and realized the driver was wanted on warrants from Merritt and was also a prohibited driver.
Peter Hancock, 39, is facing charges of driving while prohibited and possession of stolen property and was held in custody.
