AIM Foundation
Special Events Coordinators - The volunteers will coordinate special events utilizing the Event Outline and under the direction of the TNC Executive Assistant. Out of the Cold Program
Out of the Cold Volunteers - The Out of the Cold Program is looking for volunteers on Wednesdays & Sundays from Nov. 01, 2015 to Mar. 31, 2016. This program provides warm meals and shelter for the homeless men & women of Kamloops. Canadian Cancer Society
Door-to-Door Campaign Leaders - The Canadian Cancer Society is currently seeking highly motivated, and enthusiastic Leaders to engage and coordinate canvassers during the Daffodil Month Residential Door-to-Door Campaign in April. The Leaders will assist in recruiting canvassers within their community, help maintain team enthusiasm throughout the campaign, and ensure canvassers have all the tools they need to conduct the campaign. Prior to the campaign, Leaders receive materials from the Regional Office and distribute kits to canvassers. Pin Distribution Coordinators – The Canadian Cancer Society are in need of volunteers to distribute and collect retail pin boxes to high-traffic locations in their community from March to May. Pin Distribution Coordinators Duties: provide progress updates, share concerns and develop plans; contact and secure the continued support of previous pin partners; identify and secure new pin partners; provide a list of confirmed locations, contact names and number of boxes required per location; manage the delivery and return of all Daffodil resources; and participate in the campaign debrief. Health Equipment Loan Program Volunteers - The Kamloops Red Cross is in need of volunteers for approximately 4 hours a week. Positions: Customer Service - the volunteers receive and lend equipment, data entry of loan specifics in the computer database, accept donations, answer the phone, and other duties; Equipment Repair, Inspection, & Cleaning - returned equipment is inspected, cleaned, and repaired as needed. 16+ to volunteer. 250-372-2334

Membership Liaison Volunteers - We’re looking for volunteers to call each of our current members to let them know about our newly launched arts directory, and answer any questions the members may have, and if required provide one-to-one 15 minute tutorials. Please note that this can be done from your home and/or at our office downtown. Training will be provided. 16+ to volunteer. Volunteer requirements: The volunteers should be friendly, patient, computer literate, excellent communications skills, maintain confidentiality, access to a computer (laptop) and Excel savvy. 250-372-7323

Community Response Unit (CRU) Driver - Needed Tuesdays and Thursdays to pick up food at the Church, transfer it to the mobile kitchen at the Mission Flats Storage Unit, and then transport the food and the mobile unit to 4th & St. Paul Street downtown for service, and finally to clean up and return the unit to the Mission Flats Yard and complete the required procedures. 18+ to volunteer. 250-554-1611

John Howard Society
Workshop Volunteers - The John Howard Society is seeking volunteers who have a particular skill, talent, or specialty that might be of interest to our clientele to facilitate classes. Some examples: cooking, sewing, recreation (sports), traditional art (bead work, leather work), education, travel (slideshows), and health (diabetes training), etc. 19+ to volunteer. Canadian Mental Health Association - Kamloops
Donation Pick-up Volunteers - The volunteers will be transporting donations to the Clubhouse. Volunteer duties include: loading, unloading, and transporting donations. The drivers must be available to pick up community donations once a week, have a truck, and a valid BC driver’s license; pick-up times are flexible. Thrift Store Volunteers - Volunteers are needed for sorting, pricing, setting up displays, hanging clothes, organizing clothing racks, greeting customers and helping with their purchases. Schedules are set up in a way that works best for the volunteer and the agency. 16+ to volunteer. 250-554-1611
