Weekend snowfall keeps Salmon Arm RCMP busy

SALMON ARM – No one was seriously hurt after several collisions on the snowy weekend in the Shuswap.

RCMP say police officers and emergency crews in the Salmon Arm area were busy responding to four collisions, the most serious on the Trans Canada Highway.

There were two separate crashes on Highway 1, each involving two vehicles.

“Thankfully, the injuries were relatively minor given that one was a head on collision,” Staff Sgt. Scott West says in a media release. “The Salmon Arm RCMP would like to take the opportunity to remind local motorists to slow down and drive with care.”
