Weekend Penticton activities that won't work up a sweat

PENTICTON  - With temperatures expected to soar into the mid 30s, it promises to be a good weekend to find some space at the beach, or relax and enjoy some cultural activities in the Peach City.

The Lloyd Gallery Group Exhibition is featuring Min Ma, Robyn Lake and Kelly Corbett in a three artist show at the Lloyd Gallery, 18 Front St. in Penticton.

Appetizers and wine available, everyone welcome. The show runs Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. this weekend, as part of a two week run.

The Penticton Potters Guild is at Leir House on Friday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Explore the Secret Garden, a beautiful collection of clay creations for your indoor and outdoor living spaces. Admission is free. Call 250-496-5443 for more information.

Saturday morning is a good time to stroll Penticton’s Farmer’s and Community Markets on Main Street, both of which get underway at 8:30 a.m.

The Farmer’s Market operates until 1 p.m. while the community market runs until 2 p.m.

Rock the Sun returns to Gyro Park on Friday, July 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. Pernell Reichert takes to the bandshell stage in a family-friendly event.
