PENTICTON – A water main break early this morning in downtown Penticton is impacting traffic and leaving several businesses without water.

The city says a water main ruptured in the 100 block of Westminster Ave. West between Martin Street and Winnipeg Street this morning, Dec. 14.

“The eastbound lane of Westminster is blocked with a detour southbound down Winnipeg Street,” Mark Parker with the city says in a media release. “Approximately six businesses are without water and they have been notified.”

Crews are working to fix the broken main, but no word on when the repairs will be complete and the water flowing again.
