Warmer temperatures expected this weekend in Kamloops

Showers are expected to replace the snow as temperatures rise in Kamloops heading into the weekend.

KAMLOOPS - Snow falling in Kamloops today will turn to rain as temperatures rise over the weekend.

Environment Canada says today, Jan. 17, will see cloudy skies in Kamloops with periods of snow totalling two centimetres by the time it ends this afternoon. Expect a high of -1 Celsius today with a wind chill that will make it feel like -9 C. Temperatures will hold steady at -2 C overnight.

Tomorrow will see some clearing with a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 1 C.

Saturday there is a 60 per cent chance of showers as warmer air moves into the region. Saturday’s high is expected at 8 C with a low of -1 C

On Sunday sunny skies will prevail with a high of 4 C.

Normal temperatures this time of year in Kamloops are highs of -1 C and lows of -8 C.
