This weekend temperatures are expected to get up to 29 C, but Kelowna residents can beat the heat because the city has opened waterparks early.
Waterparks at City Park, Ben Lee Park, and Quilchena Splash Park are opening today, May 11.
All three parks are open daily through the Labour Day long weekend. From now until June 26 they are open between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Between June 27 and Sept. 3 the parks stay open later, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Ben Lee Waterpark has received some upgrades like a 12-foot tall sling soaker and a free standing frog waterfall.
Parents and guardians are asked to supervise kids at all times since the waterparks are not staffed. The operating hours could change depending on weather conditions.
