Warm Okanagan spring continues

A layer of snow remains on Mt. Baldy near Oliver while local orchards begin to bloom.

OKANAGAN - It is expected to be another week of above seasonal normal temperatures, making for another warm week of spring in the Okanagan.

Environment Canada is calling for a high of 21 Celsius today, April 11, followed by highs of 15 C to 18 C the rest of the week. The normal seasonal high at this time of year is 14 C.

Overnight lows are expected to be at or near the seasonal normal of 3 C most nights, except Wednesday, when the mercury is expected to dip to 0 C.

Sunny skies will be overhead most of the week, though some cloud is expected early in the week followed by cloudy conditions Friday. On Tuesday, winds are expected to reach gusts of 50 kilometres per hour.
