WEST KELOWNA - A wanted man was busted outside a home in West Kelowna yesterday after being on the lam for the past week.

RCMP say in a media release Dayton McAlpine was caught at the Douglas Road home in West Kelowna late yesterday morning, June 11.

McAlpine became a wanted man on June 4 for driving while disqualified, fleeing from police officers and theft under $5,000, according to CrimeStoppers.

“The arrest, which was conducted by uniformed members of the West Kelowna RCMP First Nations Policing section, went without incident,” Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey, spokesman for the Kelowna Regional Detachment said in a press release.

He is scheduled to appear in court on June 18.
