A wanted man was found and arrested when police responded to him "screaming and hollering" outside of a Kamloops apartment last weekend.

The Kamloops RCMP received multiple calls about a man screaming outside of an apartment building Aug. 6 at around 5:45 a.m., according to a press release from the RCMP.

Police officers responded to the 1000-block of 12th Street and arrested the man for causing a disturbance.

Once placed in the police car, the man allegedly began spitting and kicking the vehicle, while being verbally aggressive to the officer, according to the RCMP.

Police checks revealed the man had three arrest warrants out of Kamloops; one for mischief and two for failing to comply with release conditions.

He was held for a bail hearing during which he received a new order and court date, according to the RCMP.
