Operation Red Nose is on high alert in Kamloops during New Year's to help party-goers safely home.

This is the 17th annual campaign for the organization with the goal of ensuring motorists make it home safe into the late hours of the night. Volunteers are on call to come out to celebrations and drive people home in their own vehicles.

Last weekend the ICBC supported operation helped 1,680 B.C. motorists safely to their front doors.

To use this service, call 250-372-5110 between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m.

To volunteer for the campaign, download an application at the Operation Red Nose website.
