VERNON - The Vernon Vipers will face the Penticton Vees in a rematch of the Interior Division finals following their sweep of the Merritt Centennials.

The best of seven division final kicks off Saturday, March 14 at the South Okanagan Events Centre. Puck drops at 6 p.m.

The Vipers took out the Merritt Centennials in the divisional semi-final matchup. They'll enter the series looking to win back-to-back Interior Championships. The Vipers edged the Vees last spring in a hard-fought seven game series with game seven decided in overtime. The Vipers finished behind the Vees in the regular season with a 36-18-1-3 record, 17 points behind Penticton.

The Vees advance to their fourth consecutive Interior Division Final after a five-game series win over the Kelowna Warriors. Including the regular season, the win marks the team's tenth win of their last 11 games. They finished first in the BCHL in the regular season with a 44-9-3-2 record.

The Vees won six of seven regular season games against Vernon, including winning all three at Kal-Tire Place in Vernon. The Vipers took one win against Penticton at the SOEC on Feb. 11.
