KAMLOOPS - The woman who died yesterday when the vehicle she was driving crossed the centre line of Westsyde Road and collided with an oncoming vehicle has been identified.
Carmela Nicole DeCicco, 32, was found deceased at the scene, according to a release from regional coroner Larry Marzinzik, however the morning after the accident Cpl. Cheryl Bush said DeCicco was taken to Royal Inland Hospital with critical injuries.
The crash happened around 8 p.m. in a curve near the 1700 block of Westsyde Road.
The driver of the other vehicle was not seriously injured.
The collision is under investigation but road conditions were noted as slippery at the time.
