VERNON - Police in Vernon say a young woman who went missing weeks ago has still not been located.
Celina White, 26, was reported missing by her family Sept. 30 after they lost contact with her.
White is described as Caucasian, 5’3” tall, 100 lbs, and having long dark brown hair and blue eyes. Police say she lives a transient, high-risk lifestyle. She was last seen hitchhiking in the Lake Country area.
“They are just concerned, normally she touches base every once in a while with them,” RCMP Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy said of White’s family. “Anyone who knows where Celina might be, or if Celina sees this, we’re asking her to just let someone know she’s alright”
Police first issued the missing persons report Oct.13, but a week later, have no updates.
Anyone with information about White’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Vernon RCMP detachment at 250-545-7171 or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
