VERNON – Netminder Hunter Miska stopped 36 of 37 shots as the Penticton Vees downed the Vernon Vipers 5-1 at Kal Tire place last night, March 21,

The Vees’ win sends the teams back to Penticton for Game 7 of the BCHL Interior Division final tonight, March 22.

Vernon’s T.J. Dumonceaux scored the lone goal for the Snakes at 15:37 of the second period sending the sold-out crowd to its feet.

A lot of déjà vu going on as this playoff series comes to an end. It’s the second year in a row the Interior final will go to a seventh game in Penticton, and again it’s the Vees who forced the deciding game.

The puck drops at 6 p.m. at the South Okanagan Events Centre.

If you aren’t making the trip south, you can catch the play-by-play 107.5 Kiss FM.
