A rivalry is sure to heat up between two Okanagan hockey teams that will be meeting yet again in the BCHL playoffs.

The West Kelowna Warriors, who finished third in the Eastern Conference, will be taking on the sixth-place Vernon Vipers. The two cities are separated by a 60 kilometre drive along Highway 97.

The Warriors won in five games when the two teams met up in the first round of last year’s playoffs, and this will be their fifth series together since 2007.

The top-scoring player on West Kelowna during the regular season was Jaiden Moriello who got 55 points, and the Vernon players with the most points were Lee Parks and Reagan Milburn with 48 each.

The first two playoff games will be in West Kelowna at the Royal LePage Place on March 31 and April 1. The next two will be in Vernon at the Kal Tire Place on April 4 and 5. The first four games all begin at 7 p.m.

Vipers home game tickets can be purchased through this link. For Warriors games, "Playoff ticket details will be announced soon," according to the ticket info link.
