Vernon RCMP seek help in motorcycle hit and run

The RCMP is appealing to the public for help in identifying a driver involved in a hit and run with motorcyclist in Vernon more than a week ago.

According to a Vernon North Okanagan RCMP media release the incident involved a grey sedan style car that hit a grey Yamaha motorcycle at the intersection 48 Ave and 24 St in Vernon. The incident happened Oct. 8 at around 6:30 p.m.

"Our officers are diligently following all leads in this matter," Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy in the release. "We believe there may be noticeable damage to the front of the car and are asking anyone with information to come forward."

The RCMP is asking anyone with any information regarding the incident to call 250-545-7171, or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or online at www.nokscrimestoppers.com.
