VERNON – Two break-ins in Vernon last week remain unsolved and the RCMP are hoping people with information will come forward.

Police say the first break and enter happened between 7 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 3. A home in the 2300 block of 36 Avenue was broken into through a locked window and thieves made off with a Nintendo Wii and several games.

The next day, on Wednesday, Jan. 4, there was a break-in at the Sally Beauty Supply on 24 Street, according to a RCMP media release. Someone forced their way into the business and stole about $4,000 worth of hair extensions.

Anyone with information regarding these crimes is asked to call the Vernon/North Okanagan RCMP at 250-545-7171 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222- 8477.
