VERNON - RCMP in Vernon have confirmed the death of a 50-year-old man on July 19 was a homicide.

Southeast District RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Dan Moskaluk says in a news release that the investigation into William Bartz's death is continuing and has led police to establish his death was a homicide.

Moskaluk says no arrests have been made in connection to Bartz's death but police do not believe there is any threat to the general public.

Anyone with information regarding this matter is asked to call Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP at 250-545-7171 or Crime Stoppers at 1 800-222-8477.
