Vernon, Coldstream transit service being reduced due to White Lake wildfire

Vernon's regional transit service is being temporarily reduced due to the White Rock Lake wildfire burning in the area.

"Due to the White Rock Lake forest fire, Vernon Regional Transit is moving to Sunday service as of Monday Aug. 9," according to the city's press release.

The Sunday service will be implemented for all days of the week for buses operating within the City of Vernon and Coldstream, according to the city.

Route 60 to Armstrong/Enderby, route 61 to Lumby/Lavington and Route 90 to UBCO will run on their usual weekly schedule.

The HandyDart service will run as normal until further notice.
