VERNON - Advance voting opportunities are available Wednesday morning in Vernon, so if you can't be in town on November 15 the city has you covered.
Three voting opportunities will be offered before election day starting Nov. 5 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Schubert Centre, 3505 30 Ave. On Wed. Nov. 12 and Thurs. Nov. 13, voting takes place at City Hall council chambers 3400 30 St. from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
General voting day is Sat. Nov. 15 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at three locations: the Recreation Complex, 3310 - 37 Ave.; Ellison Elementary gymnasium, 2400 Fulton Rd.; and Vernon Secondary gymnasium, 2303 - 18 St.
The City of Vernon offers information about the candidates on their website.
Eligible voters have lived in Vernon for at least 30 days, are age 18 or older, have lived in B.C. for at least six months and are Canadian citizens. Voters will need two pieces of identification, at least one with a signature to prove residency and identity.
