Vandals cause thousands in damage to aircraft at Vernon airport

RCMP have released images from surveillance video in the hope someone will recognize the suspects in a case of vandalism at the Vernon Airport last month.

RCMP have released images from surveillance video in the hope someone will recognize the suspects in a case of vandalism at the Vernon Airport last month.

Three people climbed over the perimeter security fence at the airport at around 11 p.m. Saturday, April 20, and proceeded onto the airfield at the Vernon Regional Airport, according to an RCMP media release.

The suspects climbed in and out of several planes and one of the aircraft received several thousand dollars worth of damage.

Investigators are hoping someone will recognized the vandals.
