One of British Columbia’s most renowned actors is using his platform and his wallet to help refugees from Ukraine.
Ryan Reynolds, along with his wife and actor Blake Lively, will be matching up to $1 million in donations through the UN Refugee Agency.
Russia invaded the Ukraine earlier this week, causing thousands to flee the country.
“In 48 hours, countless Ukrainians were forced to flee their homes to neighbouring countries,” Reynolds Tweeted this morning, Feb. 26.
“They need protection.”
