A worn, old scrapbook was turned into the Vancouver Police Department that contains personal memories dating back to the 1900s while the book’s owner was living in Summerland.
Police didn't say much else about the scrapbook in a post on Facebook yesterday, Sept. 13, looking for information after failing to contact the owner.
The name scribbled on the book in now barely discernible ink, is Lona Washington.
There was a Lona Washington living in Summerland who died at age 87 in 2001, but it isn’t clear yet whether the book belonged to her.
The Vancouver department is asking anyone who recognizes the book to contact them here so they can return it.
