Two suspects have been caught in connection to a van theft, stolen from the Penticton Boys and Girls Club on Wednesday.

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a van theft thanks to keen-eyed Penticton residents.
On Wednesday at 5:40 pm Penticton RCMP were told a woman crashed into a parked car on Lakeshore near Winnipeg Street. Residents of the nearby apartment high rise noted the woman and a man flee the van. The residents from their high-rise vantage point were able to maintain a view of the two suspects and direct police to their whereabouts. RCMP chased after the two on foot and both were caught.
The 26-year-old female, a Penticton resident was found in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine, trafficking paraphernalia and a number of cell phones. The 33-year-old male, a Kelowna resident, has a lengthy criminal record. Both are in custody to appear in Penticton Provincial Court Friday. A number of charges are being recommended including break and enter and theft in regards to the Penticton Girls and Boys Club break in.
The two are believed to be responsible for a number of recent crimes in the Okanagan and the investigation continues with more charges likely.
