Unique gift ideas are abundant at Christmas markets across the Thompson Okanagan

Artisans and crafters have an abundance of unique gift ideas during the Christmas shopping season in the Thompson Okanagan.

COVID-19 event restrictions limited markets last year but they're returning this season on a smaller scale.

South Okanagan:

Starting from the south, the Osoyoos Christmas Market will be held on Dec. 4 and 11 from 10 a.m. to 2p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion.

For those who enjoying drinking while buying gifts, Echo Bay Vineyard in Okanagan Falls is hosting the Holiday Cheer Sip & Shop on Nov. 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Nov. 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Progressive Winter Market takes place at the Kaleden Community Hall on Nov. 20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In Summerland, the Christmas Tree Market will be held on Nov. 27 from noon to 4 p.m. at Rustic and Refined.

Central Okanagan:

Peachland is hosting the Christmas Craft Fair at the community centre Nov. 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In Kelowna the Rustic Reel Brewing Company Ltd is hosting A Reel Christmas Market on Nov. 27 from 11am-9pm and Nov. 28 from 10 a.m to 5 p.m.

Also in Kelowna is the Magical Christmas Market which takes place Dec 4 2021 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and  Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

In the outskirts of Kelowna are the East Kelowna's Country Christmas Markets, which take place tomorrow, Nov. 14, and again on Nov. 28 and Dec. 12. Markets run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

North Okanagan:

In Vernon the Kal Tire Place is hosting A Festival of Crafts And Gifts happens on Nov. 19 and 20, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., respectively

Also in Vernon is an opportunity to Christmas shop in the evening, as the Polson Christmas Market takes place Nov 27. from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Enderby Farmer’s Market will be hosting the Outdoor Christmas Market on Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to noon.

The Armstrong Farmers' Christmas Market is scheduled for Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hassen Arena.

Another opportunity for shopping in Armstrong is the International Holiday Market on Nov. 27 from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. and Nov. 28 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ate the IPE grounds.

Shuswap:

The Chase Country Christmas Craft Fair will be held Dec. 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the community hall. Candy canes are this year's theme. 

In Salmon Arm, the Shuswap Spinners and Weavers Christmas Market is scheduled to take place at the Mall at Piccadilly on Nov. 24, 25, 26 and 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Thompson Nicola:

In Kamloops, the BC SPCA is hosting the Christmas Craft Fair on Nov. 28 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the TRU Conference Centre.

Merritt's Country Christmas Week will be moving ahead this year with the parade scheduled for Nov. 26 at 7 p.m. More details on the event will be available through the group's Facebook page.
